Arctic Experience in Lyngen

Lyngen is an sustainable escape from busy city life, where you can explore the unique north-Norwegian countryside and nature at it’s purest.  The light and air pollution is minimal, meaning northern lights and star filled skies are just a short hike away.

In the Lyngenfjord area, you get a combination of extreme and relaxing outdoor activities as well as fresh experiences. Here you will continuously stumble upon striking contrasts and attractions at both high and low altitudes.

The epicentre is the 90 kilometre long Arctic mountain range of the Lyngsalpene mountain range. Some of the tallest of the steep mountains run all the way down to the shoreline of the Lyngenfjord. Jiekkevarre is the highest point at an altitude of 1,833 metres. Nicely spread out in the mountains, you will find giant glaciers, lush valleys and narrow fjord arms where you can join lots of activities – all ready to be explored.
